Welcoming Week celebrates the growing movement of communities striving to be more welcoming places for all, including immigrants. By fostering mutual respect and cooperation between new and long-time residents, Welcoming Week brings together people across lines of difference toward greater prosperity for all.

SEPTEMBER 10-19, 2021

Welcoming Week 2021

In partnership with the Ad Council and the American Immigration Council’s Center for Inclusion and Belonging, this year’s Welcoming Week will be held September 10-19 and the theme is “Belonging Begins with Us.” As the Indianapolis partner for this national celebration, we’ll be hosting events that celebrate the values that unite us as neighbors, parents, and colleagues, and make our communities more welcoming to all those who call Indianapolis and Central Indiana home.

Attend an Event

Events are the heart and soul of Welcoming Week. They build stronger communities by bringing together new and long-time residents and encourage dialogue and build connections between people who are seemingly different.
