Adult English Language Learner Research Project

In 2015 Indianapolis became the 51st Welcoming City in the U.S.  The Welcoming City project is a governmental initiative whose goal is to integrate new Americans into the fabric of the city.

From September 2018 to June 2019 the Immigrant Welcome Center, through a generous grant from the Lilly Endowment, conducted a large-scale research project in order to better understand the barriers to English language learning for the immigrant population of Indianapolis.
